So to solve this I have created a few batch files, example:

ls.bat:

dir %1 %2

This can be done with many of the equivalent dos commands, the percentages are the arguments after the command, e.g. ls /p *.jpg will be passed along as dir /p *.jpg. There are a few more commands that are easy to translate into linux like del, copy and move. But always be careful as not all dos commands use the same switches or syntax as their linux counterparts.

Originally when I first heard about Google Notebook, I thought there was no real purpose for it, but now I see it’s benefits. “With Google Notebook, you can browse, clip, and organize information from across the web in a single online location that’s accessible from any computer.” _[1] It does exactly that too. I can access it from work and home or any place that there is access to the internet. It also has nice features like a Firefox Addon and a mobile version I can access from my phone. It allows for multiple categories under one notebook to keep things organized. So really overall it’s much better then sticky notes.
