Gotta Digg Girl Won!

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

So if you were watching the super bowl like you should, you might be surprised and if you didn’t you sure did miss a great hard hitting game. Though it would of been cool for the Patriots to go 19-0, but it seemed the Giants wanted it more and it was really great for Eli to step out a under his brothers shadow. Though I think he might of out shined Payton in winning the super bowl at a younger age.

Another winner was Kina Grannis also known unofficially as “The Digg Girl” for her “Gotta Digg” song below. I might say that it was a key part of her success, hell I voted for her because of it. Plus it was some SoCal pride, but really it was the pandering to the nerdy crowd. Check it out below:

Stacking Keywords for SEO

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Recently I have felt a big push from people that I work with to stack high trafic keywords on pages and increasing their density on the page. Now I don’t feel this is as important as others might think. It is like some think that SEO is as simple as: keywords = more traffic = more money. Really there is no secret formula that you have to balance to get more traffic. It is not like a keyword density of 10% will earn you more then a density of 3%.

Now I do believe that having the keywords you want is important, I mean they describe what is on your site. But that is what they are for, they are words that should accurately describe the content of your site. So yeah, put make sure that you have it in the H1,H2 tags and make sure you get some inbound links with those keywords in them. But don’t stuff your site with high traffic keywords thinking it will give you more conversions, especially if they don’t really apply, because I seem to find a direct correlation between inaccurate information and bounce rate.
